Teaching
Teaching Philosophy since 2005, my experience encompasses a wide array of courses focusing on socio-political and ethical philosophy, including Bioethics, Global Justice and Human Rights, and the Ethics of Emerging Technologies. I take particular pride in introducing students to the nuances of Critical Thinking and the rigour of Logic, as well as to the fascinating insights of the Philosophy of Biology.
My experience spans undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral education and mentorship, providing a solid foundation for students at all stages of their academic journey. My approach to teaching integrates research into the classroom to cultivate students’ reasoning skills and deepen their understanding of philosophical concepts. I am also committed to ensuring that students are aware of the ‘hidden curriculum’ of post-secondary education, which is essential for cultivating a collaborative and immersive learning environment for students throughout their university experience.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in a commitment to student development and empowerment. I aim to create a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment where students feel encouraged to explore complex ethical and epistemological issues, and to develop their own philosophical perspectives. Through interactive and dynamic coursework, I seek to inspire a lifelong passion for philosophy in my students.
